Percentages and extract
Why don't you read astronomical percentages of Arnica such as 90% or 98% on our products? Because these percentages, found on most Arnica product labels on the market, refer to the amount of extract in the product, not the amount of active ingredient in the product.
Understanding better the meaning of the given percentages
- Extract or active ingredient? The amount of extract in the product is important, but even more is the amount of active ingredient. This is what makes the real difference. Our extract, titrated by the University of Padua laboratory, contains over 12% sesquiterpene lactones, a quantity four times higher than the best titrated extracts on the market
- Titration of the Arnica extract: a good mountain Arnica extract should contain at least 3-4% of sesquiterpene lactones, such as helenalin and dehydro-helenalin, which are the molecules responsible for the anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect
- The raw material: the basis of everything is the raw material from which the extract is made. It must be from a traceable and sustainable supply chain
- Percentage vs. Quality: labels indicating high percentages of Arnica (90%, 98%) are not necessarily indicative of a better product. Knowing the quality of the extract is essential, and can only be determined by titration
- A titrated extract: a titrated extract has a concentration of active ingredients guaranteed by laboratory analysis. This is essential for the effectiveness of the product
- Extraction carried out with supercritical fluids: we use this advanced extraction method to obtain a pure (solvent-free) extract, which is highly concentrated with the active ingredients of Arnica
- Titrated extracts vs. non-titrated extracts: products with non-titrated extracts are not comparable with those using titrated extracts in terms of active ingredient content
- The value of our products: laboratory analyses prove the value of our products, which are distinguished by the quality and concentration of the mountain Arnica extract
- Pay attention to the labels: do not be fooled by the high percentages indicated on labels. Consider the quality and titration of the extract to choose a truly effective product
A story of pioneering agriculturalists
Our project stems from the desire to preserve natural mountain habitats, to have high-quality raw materials, to produce products with the highest concentration of active ingredients and a controlled supply chain.
